Mrs. Emma Sutherland (name is Sutherlin) Dodd, wife of GW Dodd died at her home, 801 S. Water Street, Crawfordsville at 11:45 o'clock Wednesday evening following an illness of several months. Complications were the cause of her death. Mrs. Dodd had resided in Crawfordsville for 27 years and formerly lived in Boone and Putnam Counties. Mrs. Dodd was born in Putnam County May 5, 1860. On September 5, 1878 she was married to (Greenville Woods - kz) GW Dodd. The deceased was the last of a family of 9 children. She was a member of the First Christian Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dodd is survived by one daughter, two sons and seven grandchildren. The daughter is Mrs. RE Swindler of Charlottesville, VA and the sons are D.R. Dodd of Indianapolis and Roy Dodd of Philadelphia, PA. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Christian Church, Crawfordsville with Rev. JH Wilson in charge. The body has been taken to the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville where friends may call any time up to Saturday morning when she will be taken to the home until time for the services.
